Study of the effect of the fuel type and air flow on the combustion products of gas flares

[English]

The main objective of this research is to study the effect of wind blowing and type of fuels on the production of CO2, NOx and THC in gas flares combustion and qualitative study the effect of these changes on the flame structure and color. For this purpose, a pilot scale gas flare was used for carrying out the experiments and fed by different combination of natural gas, propan and butane. The results of the experiments showed that both wind and the fuel compositions are effective. By reducing the molecular weight of the gas fuel, the production of NOx, CO2 and THC reduced. Also, the rate of the productuions reduced with the increasing speed of the air flow. Of course, the intensity of the effect on the CO2 Changse was more than of NOx.
