In this study, after examining lab results of light naphtha streams of various units of Shazand refinery, the best naphtha stream to increasing capacity of Isomerization unit, Naphtha produced by Isomax unit was identified, of course, a series of operational changes to reduce the catalyst poisons was applied in the Isomax unit. Mixture of naphtha with feed supplied from NHT2 (ratio of 1: 5) increased feed capacity of Isomerization unit up to 25 percent more than the current. Increasing Isomerate production generated a net profit for the company. In Addition to the allowed amount of pesticides for input feed, the reactor feed pump capacity and Space velocity of the liquid inside the reactor as limiting the capacity isomerization unit, have been checked.
