Abstract

Nanofluid is defined as a fluid in which nanoparticles below 100 nm in diameter are stably suspended in the basefluid. The adding of nanofluid can affect on thermophysical properties of fluids. Todays research on nanifluids has been extended widely. The results of research have shown that the adding of nanoparticles to basefluid improve heat and mass transfer coefficient. The increasing of heat and mass transfer coefficient increases efficiency and reduces size and the cost of equipment. Therefore, in this paper, the applications of nanofluid in the heat and mass transfer process and also the mechanism of them will be reviewed.
