Abstract

Because of wide consumption of propylene as one of the base-olefins for production of various polymeric compounds and the principal raw feed in petrochemical industries, it’s direct procedurs like methanol to propylene process (MTP) are noteworthy, nowadays. There are two main reactors in this process, so several kinetic models were used for simulating and behavior prediction of these reactors. Further more, the effects of main operational parameters were surveyed for basic equipments. With increasing the temperature of reactor feed stream, decreasing the inlet streams to quench tower, relative increasing of the reboiler heat duty in methanol stripper, higher pressure drop and reduction of feed tray temperature in dehexanizer tower and with using the cooler stream, we could increase the efficiency in this process.
