Effect of Mo and Zr on Pt-HMS catalyst in n-Heptane isomerization for increasing octane number

Document Type : Review

Abstract

Pt catalysts supported on Zr-HMS with different molar ratios were prepared and in order to the modification of the surface, molybdenum was added into structure as promoter and were used in n-heptane catalytic isomerization at 200-500oC temperature range. For characterizing XRD technique was used and parameter effects of temperature and Si/Zr ratio on activity and selectivity of catalysts were investigated. The results show that the synthesized mesoporous catalysts have high activity and very good selectivity than the desired products as isomer materials. The production of multi branched isomers materials and also absence of benzene are desired benefit of these mesoporous catalysts.
