Abstract

In the process of FCCU , during coke burning and catalyst regeneration operation in the regenerator tower, 230 tons per hour Flue gas is production. The amount of SO2 pollutant in the flue gas flow inlet scrubber is 0.2 mole% and the maximum catalyst particles along with is 100 mg/m3. In this research the absorption with caustic phosphate buffer view of economic efficiency, absorb efficiency in priority and was chosen and then this process by the HYSYS Refinery software was simulation, and the following results were obtained. In this process the amount of air pollutants during the SO2 flue gases FCCU from 2000 ppm to 500 ppm will be reduced. Absorption efficiency of sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the process is 75 percent and for CO2 pollutants about 8 percent and the amount of the NO2 is 7.6 percent will decrease.
